For this mural Wagué spent time with CCC clients and staff, exchanging stories - stories oftransformation, of their paths toward health and healing with the help of others along the way. Based on these stories, Wagué designed this mural, “Transformation”. Once Wague sketched the images on the wall, several people helped with the painting. Ronna Neuenschwander, Wagué’s wife and a well-known artist in her own right, was his daily painting partner. Kendra Larson, a Portland artist whose work is included in CCC’s collection, also lent a steady hand, and many volunteers and staff participated in painting. This mural is truly a symbol of our communal effort.
