In tribute to Louisa Flowers: In my mural, I wanted to depict a vibrant, young African American woman, gently blowing seeds from her cupped hand, which rise and transform into multicolored fantastical flowers, one flower seeding and giving life to the next. This is the legacy of Louisa Flowers and the dignified people that succeed her.
